kyn's window

Met Kyn for lunch at Soup Spoon before she flies back to GZ this Sunday. She gave me a refreshing insight into my relationship with Emm.

me: My dad could not really accept him at first. But, now, it's ok. He's getting used to seeing Emman in my house.
kyn: What? What's the problem?
me: Aiyah, I don't know lah... it's a strange thing.
kyn: Tell your dad it's Baba leh!
me: ???
kyn: You are starting a Peranakan family! Indonesian-Chinese! Not Baba ah? (DUH)
me: (sudden revelation) So I am opening up a new branch in my family tree, starting a Peranakan family? Like, The Little Nonya?
kyn: Ya!
